Hello. My grandmother, also named Nancy Nivison, was originally named Anna Nivison and was born in Scotland. She married a man named Richard Hamilton, and she was from the Isle of Skye. I have lived in Scotland but now live in Maine, USA. My grandmother tells me that the name "Nivison" is nordic, a result of the Viking invasions into Scotland.
