Hello Karen, From your posted response to the "Re: John Nisewanger-Frederick Co. VA-1751" you sound very familar with this family. Could or would you straighten me out on this VA info. I have traced our NISWONGER line to JOHN NISWONGER b.1786 VA and his wife ELIZABETH (CIRCLE)b.1789 VA who left VA about 1807 to settle in Montgomery County OH. I have gotten this info from cenus, land records (Lewis Circle even had land adjoing theirs), Darke Co OH history books, etc and feel that it is good to that point. On Ancestry.com there are a lot of Family Data Sheets that use this same couple but go back in many directions. Several show that John Nighswonger b.1729 Lancashire England was married to the Mary Magdalene Cooper you reference in this posting and that they were the Grandparents of my John b.1786. I do not have access to the libraries you mention to see a copy of your work. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I want to be as accurate and I can be in connecting the line farther back and don't want to "jump on the band wagon", so to speak. I know that the decendens of John and Elizabeth in OH were members of the "Dunkard Brethern" religion and the history book articles said the family was of German decent, one said from Holland. Family notes I just got said the original spellng was NEISWONGER but the "NEI" was changed to "NI" when a Neiswonger married a Christian and converted. They thought this person's name was KEYSER.
