With regards to the posting by Leslie Fox, please before you accept this information, look at the dates she provides. They do not match up, and show that ancestors came to America when they were nearing or over 100 years old. I have found several books written in the 1800s with regards to the family. I am doing a complete research project, which I know will prove much of this information incorrect. Also be aware that Jacob jr. was known as Hans, but that was not his birth name. And there were two brothers John and Jacob who came to America with their parents in 1717. The father died on the voyage and was buried at sea. Jacob settled in Lancaster County Pa and John in Bainbridge. There are actually 2 lines of Nissley family from 2 seperate immigrants to this country. Be sure to check your documents closely as you will see that many of the Nissley Family over the first 100 years all had children with the same names and married spouses with similar or the same names!!! It gets confusing.!!!
