My mother-in-law, Lorene Nissen, has loaned me 5 huge 3-ring binders of Nissen family genealogy to photocopy and scan onto CDs. I'm setting aside a week in Feb. to do this (and I'll be lucky to get it done in a week!) but wanted to get some of the initial information posted now. The first page in the first notebook is a family group information sheet for Peter Nissen, married to Anna C. Kjoer. The following children are listed:
1. Christopher, born May 5, 1836 in Denmark and died January 15, 1922 in McMinnville, Oregon. Buried in the Masonic Cemetery.
2. Niss Nissen, born April 11, 1859, married to Hannah McCarthy, died October 24, 1905, buried Dunlap Cemetery, Iowa.
3. Peter Nissen, married to Rachael.
4. Moss Nissen, married to Mary. Died and is buried in Oregon.
5. Christine Nissen, married to someone with the last name "Sucker," born in Denmark and remained in Denmark.
6. Mads Nissen, born in Denmark and died on March 3, 1892.
7. Anna Christina Nissen, born March 15, 1841 in Denmark, married Hans Olsen of Denmark, Died March 30, 1904 in North Yamhill, Oregon.
