Corrections
1. JAMES gives Greenholme to his son by a sasine dated 1514
2. ROBERT married to Margaret Blair gives land to his son by sasine dated 1519 upon which Murdoc, tutor and governor (guardian) of James, a minor, asked instruments. (Note: there was later a dispute over guardianship between John and Murdoch Nisbet .)
1553.-- Hugh Campbell of Loudoun buys 40 s Auchinrugland 10s Sornehill and 20s Sorne from MARIOTA NESBIT AND HER HUSBAND, JOHN LOCKHART. MARGARET BLAIR, MOTHER OF MARIOTA NESBIT, was occupying the 20 pound land of Sorne . Among those attesting this charter was John Lockhart of Bar and John Lockhart his father (reg of Great Seal Dated 30 Sept 1553 reg 18 Nov 1553
3.A *JAMES listed as juror to assize in 1539 (note this James died and as he had no brothers or children his property was divided between his 2 sisters)
3B Margaret married to John Nisbet of Braidley (the JOHNNE? That gotdischarge of 2 Nov 1576?)
it is their son Alexander (6) who was served heir 1578 to his mother’s portion (not sister’s) inherits Greenholm after (his mother who was oldest sister of James (3A)) she had died 11 or 12 years earlier
3C Marion(Mariota) x John Lockart of Barr
