Mr. Robert (Bert) Nisbet, age 82, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center on June 1, 2009. Bert was born and raised in Thunder Bay and was employed by the Abitibi for 41 years until his retirement in 1987. He took great joy in spending time with his family especially around the back yard pool. He is survived by his wife Madeline and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this July. Also survived by daughter Judy, son Rob (shelly), grandchildren Janine Grant, Laurie (Steve) Harkof, Shirley, Lindsey & Maddey Nisbet and Nicole Morin, great grandchildren Joshua, Ethan, Belle, Gabrielle & Darien, and by his brother George. He was predeceased by daughter Tracy (Nisbet) Morin, brothers Dave, Hugh and Bill (Scotty) and parents William & Marion Nisbet. According to Bert’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family internment will take place at a later date. Should friends desire, donations to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetic Association would be appreciated.
