My father Neil Nimmo was born in Slamanan in 1903, the family moved to St Ninians, Stirling. My grandfathers name was James I think, he died the day I was born, Sep 1934.Several worked in the pits (mines).My grandmothers maiden name was Wilson and she had an Irsh connection. The family consisted of 11 souls, James, John, George, David,Robert, Neil, William, Nellie, Maggie,Jean and Lizzie.My grandfather had been married twice, having four bairns by his first wife.
