I have only one generation of Nilles in my family tree. Church records show Barbara Nulles (Nilles) born 9/12/1724, d/o Mathias and Maria (Putz) Nilles. She was born in Oberemmel. She married Johann Peter Dommelding(er) in 1748 in Oberemmel. The only Mathias Nilles that I have found seems to be from Filsch, which also is close by. I have no proof that he is my Barbara's father yet. Your Nilles family definitely had roots in the Oberemmel area.
