Ichabod's father Capt. Stephen Niles is known to have gone to Alburg VT in 1806. Several of his sons were already there including Ichabod. Stephen and his family lived at Stephentown, Rennsalaer Co., NY, after Stonington CT, before going to VT. (Stephen served in the Rev War from NY.) It would appear Ichabod Niles and Anna Kenyon married in either Stephentown or Alburg. It's estimated they married in 1795 but there doesn't appear to be any Kenyon families in the VT census in the Alburg area around that time!

Sylvester Kenyon (b1710)and wife Anna (Barber) Kenyon are at Voluntown CT (near Stonington) in 1790. A Giles Kenyon and wife both over age 45 and no adult sons at home, was counted in 1800 at Hopkinton RI, who may be Sylvestor's son Giles, born 1735. Giles' sons Giles (b1783) [Jr] and Azariah (b 1769) are at Hinesburg VT near Alburg by 1830 and later. If they had a sister Anna she may have been travelling with them.
