Thank You Allen for the info, Charles wife Jessie died at the age of 93. I will get the exact date as soon as I can find it. My father Elbrige passed away March 9,1983. Yes there was a 6th son of Charles & Jessie. was Charles Niles JR. Here is info pretaing to him: Charles A. Niles
PLATTSBURGH -- Mr. Charles A. Niles, 85, of Rugar Street,
Plattsburgh, N.Y., passel away Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Burlington,Vt., on March 19, 1923, the son of Charles and Jessie (Hawkins) Niles. Charles was a graduate of University of Vermont with a master's degree in English. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Charles taught English at Northeastern Clinton Central
School, retiring in 1988 and was a member of the New York State Retired Teacher's Association. He was a member of Christ and St. John's Episcopal Church in Champlain, where he served as warden and was on the vestry for many years. He also worked for the U.S.Department of Immigration for 33 years. Charles was a high school and college basketball official and a soccer official.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jessie Niles; his siblings, Asheal "Chief" Niles, Jane Niles, Ruth Jackson, Elbridge "Hank" Niles and Gwendolyn Dudley.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth L. (O'Neil) Niles of Plattsburgh; two sons,Charles A. Niles Jr. and his wife Darlene of Hinesburg, Vt., John Niles and his wife Teresa of Plattsburgh; a daughter, Marilyn Donohue and her husband James of West Warwick, R.I.; four grandchildren, Adam C. Niles and his fiancée Ryan Tripp of Billerica, Mass., Jennifer L. Niles of South Burlington, Vt., Ryan J. Donohue of West Warwick, R.I., Timothy B.Donohue of West Warwick, R.I.; two sisters-in-law, Arlene O'Neil of Hinesburg, Vt., andJeannette O'Neil of Shelburne, Vt.; several nieces and nephews.
