I see from Beaman's & Arnold VRs of RI, that Gideon Corey was born at North Kingstown 21 Mar 1757 and married Ruth __. A widow Ruth Corey of N. Kingstown, now of Exeter, made her will in Dec 1828. I don't have a record of a Ruth Niles marrying Gideon. However, Nathaniel & Ruth (Sweet) Niles of W. Greenwich, RI., had a daughter Ruth who married her cousin Benjamin in 1749. Their son George Niles was born 29 Mar 1750 at W. Greenwich. There may have been other siblings but their names are unknown. Both Ruth and Benjamin were deceased by 1784. George Niles made marriage intentions on 28 Mar 1772 with Lydia Douglas at Freetown, Mass. Lydia was the daughter of Hugh & Phebe (Paine) Douglas. George Niles eventually settled at Grafton NH and about 1811 moved to Fairfield VT where he died intestate in 1821. He was a town selectman and captain of militia. Possibly he had a sister Ruth who married Gideon Corey. What makes you think Ruth could be a Niles?
