Yes, Gaius is the son of Nathl & Mary (Holmes) Niles. Nathaniel was born 7 May 1724 at Colchester CT, and Sarah was born in 1726 the daughter of John Holmes and Mary Willey. Nathaniel died about 1781 in Benton (now Coventry) NH. His brother Barnabas was living nearby. There's no evidence Gaius was ever in NH though. Gaius resided after the Rev War in NY and OH. I've nothing on what happened to Sarah. She's not mentioned in NH records and may have been deceased before 1781.
