Yes his name was Uriah Platt Quackenbush. Olive died in 1856 and he came to California in 1857. He left his kids with the Whiting family and went back 6-7 yrs. later and got them. Then he married Sara Jane Offutt in Santa Rosa Ca. He must of moved around alot and missed the census records???? It hasn't been easy to trace his life BEFORE Sara Offutt. After her is easy.....when he went back for his kids their ages were 15 to 20yrs. old. They were pretty much grown! Thanks for trying maybe someone will come up with some info.
