Louis NIKSCH (1829-1912) Indiana

I am looking for any ancestral information on Louis Niksch or for any information on his "first set" of descendants.

My understanding is that Louis Niksch went to (Civil) War and when he came home, his wife had another child. He determined that the child was not his and sent her and the children away. He then sent away for a bride from Germany. Her name was Wilhelmine Niemann. They are both buried in Hobart, Indiana. They had 10 children.

Ernest Carl Niksch (1873-1940)
William (1874-1970)
Emma Cathren (1876-1946)
Rudolph (1878-1930)
Rosa (1880-1953)
Edward (1882-1965)
Cora (1884-1949)
Clara (1886-1930)
Herman (1888-1960)
Louise Caroline (1890-1943)

I also have spouses and descendants for all these 10 children, if you would like to compare notes!
