William Nienstedt 4/10/03
In March, 2000, I (whose mother was a Nienstedt) received an
email from email [email protected].
She was searching for her grandmother and write "Her name was Dora maria Henrietta Nienstedt. She married Jacob
William Hermes probably in New York City or nearby between
1900 and 1913."
I am not related to this Dora Nienstedt. However, I have
access to the Genealogical Society Library in St. Louis and
would be happy to check the newspapers (they have all of the
newspapers on microfilm) to get the info. on Henry C., Dora
Dora Mille Nienstedt and johannes Niemajewski that the
previous message spoke about if you would be interested.
Re:Nienstedt's in NYC, I have an email from a John Nien-
stedt who said that his grandfather Albert J. Nienstedt was
born in NYC in 1869 and died 1/2/30.His father was
Frederick Nienstedt who was born in 1835, place unknown.
Don't know if these NYC Nienstedt's are related to Dora or
not.
Another tree I have collected contains descendents of John
Henry Nienstedt (1825 - 1827) who married 1 Mary S. and
2. Louisa G. Heuer. With his first wife, he had several
children including Dorothea (b. abt. 1853; d.???)No de-
scendents are listed for her.
I also have the tree of August Nienstedt (m. Rosetta Toppa)
family in MI.I do not see any Dora on it.
My Maternal grandfather was John Robert Nienstedt (IL).
His brother, John Henry Nienstedt, lived for a while in
NYC but moved to Saginaw MI when he married.I know the
names of all of the descendents of both john Henry and
John Robert and there is no Dora among them.Sorry.
Good luck in your search.Sharon
