In Virginia there are manyyyyy listed Niemi's in 1953... Willard Niemiste in Parkville, Minn. So the derivative of NIEMI could be so many spellings...and the combo of Niemi with other names is many...ie: Pelto-niemi, etc. There were many Niemi's in Gilbert as well...so forth and so on...... Any clues or answers here for anyone looking in Northern Minnesota ?....
