My mother's maiden name was Niemeyer. Her father was William Niemeyer, second son, fourth child of six born to Henry Niemeyer and Sidonia Meyer, both of whom had been born in Germany. Their children were,John,1875-Caroline,1878- Marguerite, 1880-William, 1881-Emma, 1891-nd Henry, born about 1893/4.
John married Emma Onions. They had 5 children that I know of. I got this information from my mother and she was not on good terms with her Uncle John. I do not have the dates of their birth but I do have their names----John, Henry,Clarence, Walter, and Laurene. Laurene married a man named Meyer..If you need any more info I have some about my great Aunt "Carrie" Caroline and Marguerite and great aunt Emma. Henry ran away from home at age 13 and the family never from him after that. John was brought to the states in 1875 when his parents immigrated. You might find them listed on the Ellis Island pages. John's parents died 1905,father, mother died 1928 or 29.I do not know where they are buried but probably in a North St. Louis Cemetery as that is where they lived. Some of these dates may be wrong as my Mom did these from memory and she wasn't really accurate. I think maybe your date of 1873 is probably more accurate than mine.
