Your query on Rose Niedringhaus sparked my interest. I am somewhat familiar with the Niedringhaus' immigration from Germany to St.Louis since my grandmother (Gretchen Niedringhaus) was descended from this line. Your Rose Niedringhaus shows up in the 1900 census in St. Louis (I assume her husband had died). She states that both her parents were born in Germany. The four eldest sons of the Niedringhaus family immigrants married women who were born in Germany. These sons were: Christian Frederich Wilhelm born 1830 Frederich Wilhelm "Fred" born 1832 William Frederich "Wm F." born 1835 Frederich Gottlieb "F.G." born 1837 I would say one of these men is possibly your Rose's father (or perhaps her grandfather). The 1900 census should enable you to sort this out if you have access to it. Rose would have been 15 years old and still at home. Good luck. Randy Hall Notify Administrator about this message?
