I beleive Louis Nicoud was my Grandmothers (Amanda Nicoud) uncle or Great Uncle, I am not sure of the line.

Married Henry George Schewe. Henry was born 24 Sept 1886,died 05 Jan 1980 Henry was a Pharmacist in Milwaukee and owned University Drug store for many,many years.
That is all I have on the Nicouds, but would appreciate any information that you have on "Amanda's" parents.

Schewe, Sr. Janet, BVM Milwaukee native and longtime educator Sister Janet Schewe, BVM, 91, died July 5, 2007, at Marian Hall, Dubuque, Iowa. Visitation will be July 12 from 9-11 AM in the Marian Hall Chapel with a prayer service at 11 AM. The funeral will be at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel cemetery. Sister Janet was an administrator at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School for 30 years, from 1971-2001. She served there as assistant principal, curriculum director and assistant administrator. She was also an educator in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota. Sister Janet was born Oct. 3, 1915 in Milwaukee to Henry and Amanda Nicoud Schewe. She graduated from St. Rose Elementary School and Holy Angels Academy before entering the BVM congregation from St. Jude Parish, Wauwatosa, on Sept. 8, 1933. She professed first vows on March 19, 1936, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Schewe. She is survived by four sisters: Mary Sell, Milwaukee; Helen Chamberlain, Columbia, S.C.; Margaret Williams, Brown Deer; and Nancy Davidson, Delafield; and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 73 years. Memorials may be given to the Sisters of Charity, BVM Retirement Fund, 1100 Carmel Dr., Dubuque, IA 52003.
