My great great great grandparents were Hector McDonald and Catherine 'Kate' Nicholson. They had three children as far as I know - Hector, John and Mary. John was born in 1808 and married Flora Lamont/Lamond in 1835 at Snizort. I have found John and Fora McDonald in Stenscholl in 1851 census. John and Flora and their children came in Portland, Victoria Australia in 1853 on the 'New Zealander'. I would be intrerested to see if we have any family in common.
