I am looking for information on the family of Francis Nicol, son John, grandson John who lived in the Kirknewton & East Calder district of Midlothian. Francis was ca. 1745. My grandfather, Charles, son of John emigrated to New York and settled in Jersey City, NJ. Married an irish girl, Annie Lyttle/Little. Charles had a sister, Mary, who married a John Gray. In the 1870 census they are shown in Hart County (Priceville) Kentucky, along with her and Charles brother William and his family. Bill's wife was Jesse Russell who he married 6/3/1864 in Kirknewton.
Any info on this branch I would be happy to receive. I would also be happy to pass on anything I have. My sister did a genealogical research going back to early 1700/late 1600s.
