George Nicol's (1834)son William (Jan 1861) came over approx 1882, and his first wife Margaret(Grant)Nicol were my great-grandparents. Two of William's brothers Robert and John came also. All of the children that I have found list George as their father, with Janet Hay as mother, but some show her name as Jessie Hay. William's children, I have all - both wives ( all three buriied in Illinois), and other info if you would be interested in comparing and exchanging. It looks like you may be able to go back much further than I, so far I have only gotten back to William's parents & siblings. Please contact me here, or at mneely@netdirect.net
