Nevel (Puckett) Nicks was born in 1850 and was the son of William Jesse Nicks. Nevel had the following brothers and sisters....

Sarah Ann Nicks (born 1845)

William Barrett Nicks (born 1847)

Martha Dolly Nicks (born 1867)

John Newton Nicks (born 1848)

Emma Elizabeth Nicks (born 1851)

Archibald McFarland Nicks (DOB hasn't been researched yet, but he died in 1938)

Mary D. Nicks (born 1857)

Nevel Puckett Nicks did come from Arkansas and his son, Emmett Houston Nicks (1867-1949) was my great grandfather.
