So far the Pritchards have been traced to Glasbury, Breacon/Herefordshire Welsh border. circa. 1780. 240 miles to the west of Norwich.

Pritchard is "patronymic", the Welsh were the last to accept the surname system. ap.Richard ... son of Richard. Nickerson is also patronymic as in son of Nicholas.
