Annie Clair James & "BUNK" Nickerson, Jaybird Creek, Jackson's Gap, AL

I research James. Annie Clair James was born in November 1900. Bunk Nickerson was probably born between 1890-1900. They lived on Jaybird Creek near Jackson's Gap, Tallapoosa County, Alabama. In about 1930-31, when my mother was a girl, her family went to visit. Annie Clair and Bunk Nickerson had two children born about 1918 to 1920, a girl and a boy - cannot remember their names. Bunk fished for a living and my mother remembers that they served fish every meal.

Bunk died and Annie Clair is said to have moved to Chicago and married a second time. I have no idea when or where she died.

I would love to make contact with descendents of Annie Clair James and Bunk Nickerson. I do not know Bunk's given name... only his nickname.

I have a photograph of Annie Clair's family taken about 1901 when she was about 12 to 18 months old.

Here's hoping I hear from some "new" cousins!

Linda
