The Nickerson Family Association Book 4 lists:
Joseph Rice Nickerson was born Tamworth, NH 11 October 1826, son of Joshua and Betsey (Rice) Nickerson. He died Cambridge, MA 18 December 1899, age 73y 2m 3d of paralysis, buried Chocorua Cemetery, Chocorua, NH, with his wife. He was married Sandwich, 26 September 1862, by Rueben Dearborn, Clergyman, to Sarah P. Marstons, born Sandwich, 26 September 1833, daughter of Elisha and Lucy T. (Ferns) Marstons. She died Cambridge, MA 28 May 1897, age 63y 8m 2d of appendicitis. Joseph was a farmer.
Children born Tamworth:
Lucy b. June 1864; died 18 April 1875, age 10y of spinal complaint
Frank, b. 15 May 1866; d. 26 April 1929
George E., born 11 July 1868; m. 20 June 1894, Carrie B. White; d. 11 March 1943
