Hi, Y'all Nickerson Folks ~ I'm stumpted on my husband's people Francis & Frances P. (Fanny) Nickerson Hunter. She was born October 1814 ~ censuses say in England, but I've also seen Cumberland County (Brunswick ~ maybe confusing with New Brunswick, Canada), Maine where the family moved to from Somerset County around 1860 ~ after coming to Attean & Moose River (from where Francis Hunter, who was supposedly born in Ireland, went into the 13th Maine for the US Civil War), Somerset County, Maine in the late 1840s from Canada. Frances P. Nickerson Hunter also died in Cumberland County about 1865.
Would sure appreciate finding the parents of either of these people.
Their children were
Mary Ann, born c.1832 who married Powell/Stafford/&Adams (this is my husband's line)
John, 1834
Frances, 1836
Margaret, 1841
Alexander, 1843
Robert, 1844
Fanny, 1846
Lucy, 1849 ~ she was the only child born in Maine...the older ones born in Canada.
