William Atkins Nickerson was b. Barrington, N.S. 23 Jan 1813 s/o Thomas & Sarah (Doane) Nickerson. He d. Southport, ME 1888, buried Decker Cem. Southport with his wife. He m. in Boothbay, ME 8 Dec 1836 by Willard Thorp, Sarah Lewis, b.. 1809, Parents unknown. She d. 1891.
Children:
Melville N. m. Maggie Allen; d. since civil war.
Catherine, m. William H. Alley
Vandalia, d.y.
Miles Dallas, b. 1845; m. Sophie Ann Lewis; d. 1897
