Hi, Gary. Thanks a lot for all that information. I've verified some via the SS DI and the KY DI. That's always gratifying.

My initial contact on this family was back in 1998 both a GEDCOM and e-mail from Leslie Vincent, gGdau of George K NICKELL. One spelled "Surrilda", other's "Shirilda" and "Branham". But, that's genealogy for you.

I see on the SS DI that "Branham" is the most popular spelling, but that doesn't prove anything if I can't find S*ilda by any spelling on the KY Vitals Web Page.
Maybe died in OH?

The reason you found the wrong b.date for Joshua on my Web Page is because I had 2 Joshua's in my data base, both the same person, one b.4/20, other b.4/29; I've deleted the wrong entry.

Worst part of this whole thing is that I/we have extensive data on George's family and descendants but can't identify his father, thus can't connect him to the main John NICKELL line! The 1850 Morgan census has 4 "George" children, but I feel I've identified each, so wonder if his family moved to Wolfe Co., shortly after his birth, at least before his marriage, because I can't find him in the Morgan Co., Marriages either.

Guess we keep lookin...

Thanks, much, for your help.
Don
