Just saw your May message. Hope you made it to the Mill and Farm. When I was there in 2001 we found the road into the Nickell's Mill entertaining at best, and thrilling when we met a car barrelling along in the opposite direction. We took pictures of the Mill and House, from a little distance, because we didn't know the situation at the time, or if the house was occupied. Looked like it might have been back then. Just took advantage of the fact we were there and clicked away. Bye the way I am a Nickell decendent through Susannah (John I's daughter) who married Benjamin Lewis. We were looking for "the old stomping grounds" where Muddy Creek meets the Greenbrier. Bridge there was under construction so obscurred a lot. I have also been to Gorton in Northern Ireland, where JohnI started out.
