This Indenture made 17th day of March 1749/50 Between ROBERT WARD of
Frederick County in Province of Maryland planter and glazier of one part and ALICE
and ELIZABETH NICHOLSON both of Anne Arundel County in Province of Maryland
Gentlewomen daughters of JAMES NICHOLSON of A A County Gentleman of other
part Witnessed that the said ROBERT WARD for and in consideration of the sum of
seventy pounds currency to him in hand paid at or before Sealing and Delivery of the
presents by the said ALICE and ELIZABETH NICHOLSON the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged by the said ROBERT WARD hath granted bargained and sold and confirmed
unto the said ALICE and ELIZABETH NICHOLSON and their heirs.....for tracks or parcels
of land lying and being in A A County in the County on South Side of South River near
London Town...one track of land called know by the name ofCoxby contained by Patent
one hundred acres more or lessknown by Selbys Marsh containing by estimation fifty
acres more or less together with all houses, orchards, gardens, fences......
