“Jerry Nichols, 81, of Vonore, died Sunday at his home. He was a member of Citico Baptist Church.
Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Martha Cathey Nichols; daughters, Mrs. Elmira Wilbanks of Toccoa, Georgia; Mrs. Aileen Noblet of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Mrs. Pearl Shell of Madisonville; Mrs. Lydia Cordell of Loudon; Mrs. Artie Cordell of Columbia, South Carolina; Mrs. Mildred Gentry of Vonroe; three sons, Wesley of Kingston; Ray (Buck) of Greenback; Bobby of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Wesley Nichols of Sweetwater.
Services were held Tuesday at Citico Baptist Church with the Rev. Elzie Bryant, and the Rev. Charles Cooper officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Biereley-Hale of Madisonville in charge.”
