Dear Ms Dimond: You sound like you know more about Solon Abbott than I know. I found the info about Abbott and his association with Walker in a book that Abbott would have to approve of before it was published. Walker was a mercenary (forgive me if you already know this)who took over Nicaragua with a group of men. You mentioned that Abbott was "wanted". I have never heard of this...please let me know more about this. I am interested in any info on Abbott. I have his family/census info, but I would like to know more about his life and career. Walker was executed in Nicaragua. Abbott was living during the 1880s here in Springfield, Missouri. He built some big buildings here. He also helped start a church here in Springfield. I hope that you will send me any more info on Abbott that you may have. Thanks for your help. brian
