The notorious William Walker, U.S. soldier of fortune, went to Nicaragua in 1857 and conquwered it for three years. He was then executed. Solon Blodgett Abbott(1832--1911) accompanied Walker to Nicaragua and escaped back to the U.S. alive. I need to find out if there is any documentation that proves that Abbott was there in Nicaragua during 1857--1860. Any information about Abbott would be appreciated. Thank you so much. brian
