Although I could think of quite a few, the most prominent example of recognized is General Augusto Calderón Sandino, who metamophsized into Augusto César Sandino when his father recongnized him.
Just one anecdote on the subject of Diplomacy. The Lawyers involved in litigation in the Hague for Nicaragua were curious because there was a Mariano Montealegre who represented Costa Rica in the first part of the XIX Century making an offer to Nicaragua related to the use of teh San Juan River and there was another Mariano Montealegre who was a negotiator for Nicaragua on the same topic in the second half of the XIX century. They turn out to be brothers, sons of the same father, one was born before his father marrying the other one's mother. The Costa Rican was born out of wedlock.
