My grandfather, George William Niblock, was big into genealogy and he found our ancestors to come all the way from Germany (then to Ireland, then to US). In German the word "Knoblauch" translates to "garlic"

Many last names had to do with the familys trade, for example: Taylor, Shoemaker, Roper
So ive always believed we were probably garlic farmers
