Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Deloris, to further confuse your research in that period, here is some info I collected. William H. Niblett, b. 1781, veteran of War of 1812, married Lucresy Wynne in Sussex Couty, VA on 6 Jan 1807. He was drafted 1 Jul 1813 at Sussex Courthouse and later honorably discharged from VA Militia, 18 Aug 1813 at Norfolk, "by order of Gen'l Taylor", in consequence of ill mother. Record exists for his pay to return to home of enlistment. In 1850, at age 70, he filed for bounty land warrant #7815, rcvd 14 May 1851 and in 1855 returned this one to file for additional land #8668-160-55, or 65065. Both applications were made at Petersburg, Sussex County, VA. This info from National Archives (NARA).
