Philbrick family records Sullivan County

I'm trying to do some family research regarding my grandfather, Lawson Weinburg, who was KIA in WWII. The only information I have is that he was born out of wedlock to a young woman, family name Philbrick. According to my great grandmother, they were either from NH or ME, and were farmers. He was supposedly born in Boston approx. 1923/1924. He was adopted shortly after birth by a woman Evelyn Weinburg, who lived in Massachusetts but was from the Springfield, NH area and worked as a domestic for local families. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've hit a stone wall. Thanks.
