This is just a guess, but I see the Lefebvre spelling in a lot of Quebec records - not so much in the U.S. I have a Canadian Genealogy Index CD, and found an Ephrem Lefebvre living in 1891 in Cote Visitation Quebec (from Lovell's Montreal Directory for 1891, p. 879). He was the only Lefebvre I found living in that town. However, Lefebvres are very numerous in Canada.

I have an interest in the Somersworth area (other names), and found that a lot of French Canadians came to work in the factories there - lots of French names in the vital records. I have some World Family Tree CD's also, I'll check these and see if something pops up. Good luck.
