I descend Mrs. Adeline Cecelia Copp Nixon, wife of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Biloxi, Missisippi, lawyer John Nixon, Esq. By 1849, the four New Orleans children of her brother, William Augustus Copp, Sr., had returned to Wakefield, Stafford County, New Hampshire. Their Patriot great grandfather, legislator LtCol. David Copp, Sr., was buried between Dover and Wakefield. They were Mary Porter Copp, Margaret Palmer Copp, John Manning Copp, and Wm. Augustus Copp, Jr. Seek their descendants. James A. Miller Jr., Southport, N.C. 28461-7420; focusoninfinity@hotmail.com I descend Mrs. Adeline Cecelia Copp Nixon's daughter, Mrs. Jane Ann Nixon James, second wife of LtCol Robert Wm. James (born Wilmington, North Carolina, 1811, died Biloxi 1882). Their son was Biloxi ship's pilot and harbormaster, Capt. Harry Copp James, 1848-1923; my great grandfather.
