Looking for people with the surname Hamel or Bégin whose ancestors arrived in Newmarket (Rockingham County) between 1870 and 1900 to work in the mills. Special interest in the descendants of Matthias (Mathieu) Hamel and his wife, Desneiges (Desanges) Doucet and their children who included Narcisse (Nelson), Nellie (milliner), Onésime, Lueminie (who married Wm Viens or Vien who may have changed name to Cummings.), Angelina, Telesphore, and Moses. Already have contact with a good part of the Telesphore descendants. Particularly interested in Moses, Onésime, and Leuminie. Personally am descended from Narcisse (Nelson) and Clara Bégin, daughter of Joseph Bégin and Marie Césarie Huard.
