Labranche Families of New Market, New Hampshire

I'm helping a friend start her family tree. We've looked through the census records and have learned a lot but are looking for a few "puzzle pieces."

It starts with her great-great grandfather, Philip Labranche. He was born(1864) in Canada and moved to New Hampshire some time in 1875-1880. Giving the age & time frame that he moved to NH - he must have done so with other family members.

According to the census records he was married twice. It is there that the puzzle piece is missing. The 1900 census shows that he was married for two years to a Willimena and has 7 children ranging from 14 - 4 years of age. I'm estimating that his first wife died sometime after the 4 year old was born which would have been 1895-96 and obviously before the second marriage took place sometime around 1898.

Philip and his family seem to have settled in New Market and for a long time lived on Bay Street. If anyone has any information, please contact us.

Thank you.

Sue & Caroline
