Well, Dennis, you have really come up with some great information for me! This could very well be one of Clement's brothers. I looked on the map and Newmarket is right in line with the town of Raymond NH.

My theory about these brothers is that they could be the sons of Joseph Moody and Mary Leavitt Moody - the couple who died of smallpox @1760 and left young children (some of whom also died). I can not find any list of children for this couple, but think if my theory is correct, the children went to live with relatives or friends of the family in nearby communities. "My" Clement would have been old enough to be on his own but since I don't have birth dates of James and John, I can only surmise they were younger and "farmed out" to other families.

You are definitely helping me sort out the details on these men. I hope you have good luck with John Moody too!
