I for one Mr. Marston appreciate Very Much you telling us about this practice. I like Jackie who posted earlier, have been Extremely "bent" about the "selling out" of GenForum and today...Ironically in the mail received a letter from asking if I'd like to Subscribe to their website for only $60.00 a year. I didn't realize that was owned or managed or run by Family Tree Maker, but I did realize that FTM and the LDS seemed to be operating together at some level. So, this would appear the reasoning behind GenForum's latest efforts. Has anyone noticed that they put the Message Board Formats back the way they were after we all threatened to abandon ship? Of course they put it back,...they want us to Continue to spread our family history all over their boards. Well all I can say is that this latest thing made me very mad from the sheer stand point of Ethics involved. From now on, I will not post my Answers or Help to anyone on this or any other message board. If I can, I will try to help them by contacting them directly.
I have been posting to this site for years, but this changes everything. I just hope and am keeping my fingers crossed that doesn't change their minds and go to this method too.
Thank you Very much Mr. Marston and please
Keep us posted on the latest developments.
Oh and good luck if you try to contact GenForum or have written them numerous times and not once received a response from them.
Thanks again.
