Shirley, You asked: "Does anyone have any info on RALPH LITTLEFIELD who lived at 44 Portsmouth Ave, Exeter, Rockingham Co. N.H. 1921-1923 and worked at Exeter Manufacturing Co." My husband William D.Littlefield was born in Exeter NH in 1954. The family at that time lived at 15-17 Portsmouth Ave. His father Donald Elwood Littlefield (1917-1991) had a brother Ralph, but he would have been a child in 1921-23. Their father was William E.Littlefield (WWI Army Lt)died in 1921. He had a brother John Littlefield who lived on Portsmouth Ave in Exeter and who did work at the Exeter Mfg. Co. for a long time. He never married. Perhaps this is the Littlefield you are looking for? As you know there are many repeated first names in the Littlefield clan. We met another Ralph, e.g., in No.Hampton NH who had a son William, who was unknown to my husband's family. As you also probably know from researching New England Yankee families, the "modus operandi" of "it's nobody's business" sometimes makes it difficult to extract family stories from people. I don't know of these bits of information will help you or not, but best of luck. (By the way, you are probably aware of the Exeter Historical Society on Front St. in Exeter--they have much genealogical information and rotating exhibits. E.g., currently the exhibit is all about the Robinson Female Seminary and its students.)
