1920 census of Laconia has a Gerald Arnold and his wife "Ethel N" who was born in VT, father in Canada and mother in VT. Probably your Ethel so I looked for them in 1930 and found:

1930 2-wd Laconia, Belknap Co, NH
page 100, sheet 24A

Gerald M Arnold age 42, marr at age 31, born MA,NH,NH, straightener/needles
Ethel N age 32 wife, marr at age 21, born VT,Can/engl,VT
Christine E, age 10 b.NH
Joyce E, age 5 b.NH
Edith M. Doyen 56, mother-in-law, divorced, b.VT,VT,VT, stringer/Needles

probably worked for Excelsior Needle Co, Lakeport, NH which was the employer listed on Gerald's WWI draft card
