More info on the William Durkey who was in Caledonia Co, VT 1880. I found that his brother John and sister Cecil both married in Boston, MA 1891 & 1895 respectively. The parents were given on those records as William & Almira and William & Alma so I guess Persis A from the 1880 census was Persis Almira or Persis Alma (no maiden name was given). I can get you all the info from those two marriage records if you are interested in looking further into this family.

William Durkee born c1843-1845 in NH appears to be living with George & Martha Beers in Lebanon, Grafton Co, NH 1860. It's possible Martha was his mother in her second marriage. Not sure yet.

William was already married to Persis in 1870 when they appear in Colebrook, Coos Co, NH. She must have died after the 1880 census and before 1897. It seems he is most likely the William H. Durkee who was married to a woman named Lucretia c1897. They appear on the census in 1900 Washington State and then in 1910 Chittenden Co, Vermont and then 1920 Gem Co, Idaho. If you don't have census access let me know and I will get you the pages. William H. Durkee "could" be the one who died in 15 Oct 1925 in Bingham Co, Idaho.

To summarize it appears after the death of Persis this family was scattered all over. Email me at home if you would like more of the details on those Boston marriages. Get my email by clicking on my name.
