My choice would be Timothy as he is listed in the "Index to Births early to 1900"- by the NH Registrar of Vital Statistics as the father of Israel- b.1 Jan 1663 Hampton, Rockingham Co.(Keep in mind that in the 1600s, the New Year began in March not January)
I presume you use Familysearch.org for searches-so
Go to Custom Search on the IGI and put in North America for Region.
Put Blake in last name- then Timothy in father's name.
In Batch Number box-put 754004.
Nothing else- click Search
You'll see 4 children come up for Timothy and Naomy- including Isreal.
Now try the same thing with James as father-no Israel there.
Personally I would go with the births recorded by the NH Registrar.
But if you use a Family History Center to read films- you can read the film with this entry yourself- and you may find your missing generation.
