I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. My gg grandfather, Alexander H Wilson, was b. 1810 in New Hampshire - was in St. Louis, MO in 1850, residing in the Brolaski household. He's in Sacramento, CA in 1855, Carson Co, NV in 1860, and finally, Austin, NV about 1864.
I have been trying for some time to discover where he came from in New Hampshire and who his family was - but have been completely unsuccessful. I'm hoping that someone is researching a Wilson line from New Hampshire and has an Alexander that went off to St. Louis, MO and then to CA and NV, or whose adult life has been impossible to discover. Also, if anyone familiar with New Hampshire research has anything or any source to recommend, I'd certainly be interested.
