Thanks for the reply John, but unfortunately this is the wrong Samuel. I went back and did some further research, and Newington, while earlier was part of Mass, in 1705 it was in NH. I've corrected that in my records so I won't make the same mistake again.

Looks like you've done some good research and I commend that. Too much of what I find is just someone copying someone else, and basically it is the blind leading the blind. I'm trying to eliminate such things from my own genealogy, and there is a lot of it.

The Samuel I'm looking for was the son of George (1680-1769). I've traced both Samuel's back and they come from different sources (see The Ancestry of Lydia Harmon by Davis, 1924). I do appreciate your input, and I'll make some notations on this line based on your research. It doesn't appear related now, but who knows? I document everything.
